The challenge
Demolition exposed a cast-iron waste stack at the end of its service life and an electrical panel two sizes below what the new layout required. Neither was in the original scope.
What we did
We photographed both conditions, priced the replacement the same week, and got written approval before closing a single wall. The stack was replaced in coordination with the building so water was down for four hours, not four days.
Outcome
Completed within the revised budget. The owner has since referred two further units in the same tower.
